Clare Cribb
Course Tutor, Foundation Level Training.
Clare Cribb is an AFT and UKCP registered systemic psychotherapist, and also a qualified psychiatrist, and has worked in NHS mental health services for over 25 years. Her approach is to focus on the impact of relationships in the process of recovery from serious mental illness, and to promote a social justice ethic within the public sector agencies she works with . She has trained in a number of psychotherapy modalities prior to completing her training with the Family Institute Wales in 2018, and systemic supervisor training in 2025.
She has been a leader and teacher of psychotherapy for trainee psychiatrists, nurses and medical students since 2013 and was Chair Of Faculty of Medical Psychotherapy for the RCPsych in Wales from 2013 to 2018.
She is a psychotherapy tutor within her current NHS setting and also has an independent systemic psychotherapy practice.
She has recently taken up the role of Chair of AFT (Association of Family and Systemic Therapy) Cymru and has a vision of improving access to and provision of family therapy within Wales.
She is committed to incorporating relational practice and prioritising ethical positioning in her work.
